The Document Editor provides a centralized workspace for creating, editing, formatting, and collaborating on documents within the application. The interface is designed with a tab-based layout that organizes editing tools and features for quick access and efficient document management.
Users can work with text formatting, tables, images, comments, collaboration tools, version history, and document review options directly within the editor. The editor also supports real-time collaboration, allowing multiple users to review and update documents simultaneously.
Quick Access Toolbar
The Quick Access Toolbar provides shortcuts for commonly used actions such as Save, Print, Undo, and Redo. Users can also enable or disable toolbar options based on their preferences.
Editing Mode
The Editing Mode menu allows users to switch between different document modes based on the required workflow:
- Editing - Edit and update document content.
- Reviewing - Review content and track changes.
- Viewing - View the document without making edits.
Ribbon Toolbar
The Ribbon Toolbar allows users to access document editing, formatting, and management tools while working within the Document Editor. Features are organized into sections to help users quickly locate and use the required options. This includes:
Left Sidebar
The Left Sidebar provides quick access to commonly used tools and panels within the Document Editor.
- Search - Allows users to search for specific words or phrases within the document and replace content when needed.
- Comments - Allows users to view, add, organize, and manage document comments during collaboration and review activities.
- Navigation - Allows users to navigate through document headings and manage heading display options for easier document organization and review.
Right Sidebar
The Right Sidebar allows users to access additional formatting and property options for selected objects, such as text, images, tables, and other document elements. The available options update automatically based on the selected content.
Rulers
The horizontal and vertical rulers help users align document content and adjust margins, tab stops, and paragraph indents while editing.
Status Bar
The Status Bar is located at the bottom of the Document Editor and helps users quickly view document details such as the current page number and word count. Users can also access features such as document language settings, spell check, track changes, document view modes, and zoom controls directly from the Status Bar.
Users can hide or display editor components as needed to customize their workspace. When additional icons are available on the left or right sidebar, hidden options can be accessed using the More menu.
