This article allows you to perform periodic audits, which are crucial for ensuring compliance. Regular internal audits help evaluate the effectiveness of compliance protocols, training, and corrective measures. Maintaining consistent, organized, and thorough documentation is essential to support efficient audit management.
Follow the steps below to create a new Audit:

In My Workspace, click the Plus (+) icon, then select Assign Audit from the My Workspace Actions widget.

You can also click Audits from the secondary menu to navigate to the Audit Queue page. Then, click the Create button to create a new audit.

To begin, select the Location to audit, then choose a template from the drop-down menu. The template specifies the data required for the audit.

Complete all applicable fields. Required fields are marked with red asterisks.
💡 Workflow Tips- Use Identifiers: Include details such as the year or quarter in the title to easily identify audits later.
- Dropdown Options: The Department and Category dropdowns provide standard selections. The final option allows you to create custom entries, which are saved for future use. These lists can be accessed and managed in the Admin tab under Lists in the Template Library.
- Create from Existing Audit allows the user to clone from the existing audit.Â
- Click the Add button and select the desired Auditees.
- Enter the appropriate details in the Scope field (Optional).

Select a Frequency from the dropdown list.
💡 Workflow TipWhen scheduling a recurring audit, each subsequent audit is created on the due date of the previous one, ensuring continuous scheduling. -
Select a Due Date from the calendar.

Choose the preferred frequency in the Audit Due Reminder Days field.
💡 Workflow Tip- Reminder Days: Leave the default setting of Assign at submission to send the task and initial email notification when the audit is submitted. Alternatively, select the number of days before the audit due date to generate the assignment task and notification.
- Recurring Audits: The Reminder Days setting carries over to recurring audits unless it is updated on the most recently generated audit in the series.
Example: Immediate AssignmentAudit creation date: 05/30/2025Audit due date: 06/30/2025
- You can select a Person responsible. This individual is accountable for completing and closing the audit.

To Attach Documents:
- From your computer: User Drag & Drop or Browse Files to upload files from your drive or desktop.
- From Compliance Manager: Click Choose from Document Center to add files from your Compliance Manager document folders.
- Enable the Include in Annual Audit Workplan checkbox to include the audit in existing Annual Audit Workplans (optional). Click Here to learn how to create an Annual Audit Workplan.
- Enable the ACP/Legal checkbox (optional). This checkbox should be enabled if the audit has legal implications or if it's related to the organization's compliance with the ACP.
- Enter customer-related notes or details in the Customer Rich Text field to provide specific information relevant to the audit process.

To proceed:
- Select Submit to assign the audit to the designated person.
- Select Save as Draft to submit later or continue with optional steps.
