The Shape Advanced Settings window provides additional options to configure shape size, rotation, positioning, text wrapping, line styles, text box behavior, and accessibility settings. These settings allow users to precisely control the appearance and placement of shapes within a document.
Follow the steps below to open the Shape Advanced Settings window.
Select the shape you want to modify.
Open the Shape Settings panel on the right side of the editor.
Click Show Advanced Settings . The Shape - Advanced Settings window opens.
Refer to the desired section and follow the instructions:
Once all changes are made, click OK to apply the changes.
Size The Size tab allows users to configure shape dimensions.
Option

Absolute Width
Specifies an exact shape width.
Relative Width
Sets the width relative to the selected reference point.
Absolute Height
Specifies an exact shape height.
Relative Height
Sets the height relative to the selected reference point.
Relative To
Selects the reference point used for relative sizing.
Lock Aspect Ratio
Maintains shape proportions when resizing.
ℹ️ Notes
When Lock Aspect Ratio is enabled, changing the width automatically adjusts the height proportionally.
Rotation
The Rotation tab allows users to rotate and flip shapes.

Specifies the rotation angle.
Flip Horizontally
Mirrors the shape from left to right.
Flip Vertically
Mirrors the shape from top to bottom.
Text Wrapping
The Text Wrapping tab controls how the surrounding text interacts with a shape.
Style
Description
Inline
Places the shape within the text flow.
Square
Wraps text around the shape boundary.
Tight
Wraps text closely around the shape.
Through
Allows text to flow through transparent areas.
Top and Bottom
Places text above and below the shape.
Behind Text
Displays the shape behind document text.
In Front of Text
Displays the shape in front of the document text.
Distance from Text

Top
Sets the spacing above the shape.
Bottom
Sets the spacing below the shape.
Left
Sets the spacing between the shape and surrounding text on the left side.
Right
Sets the spacing between the shape and surrounding text on the right side.
ℹ️ Notes
Distance from text settings are available only for wrapping styles that allow text to flow around the shape.
Position
The Position tab allows users to control the exact placement of a shape within the document.

Sets the horizontal position as a percentage relative to the selected reference point.

Position options are available only when the selected wrapping style supports object positioning.
Weights & Arrows
The Weights & Arrows tab allows users to customize line appearance and arrow styles for shapes that contain lines or connectors.

Specifies how connected line segments are joined.

Selects the arrow style displayed at the start of the line.

Text Box
The Text Box tab allows users to control how text is displayed within a shape.

Automatically adjusts the shape size to fit the contained text.
Top Padding
Sets the space between the text and the top edge of the shape.
Bottom Padding
Sets the space between the text and the bottom edge of the shape.
Left Padding
Sets the space between the text and the shape's left edge.
Right Padding
Sets the spacing between the text and the shape's right edge.
Alternative Text
The Alternative Text tab allows users to add accessibility information to a shape.
