The Table Advanced Settings window provides additional options to configure table size, cell properties, borders, positioning, text wrapping, and accessibility settings. These settings allow users to customize table behavior and appearance beyond what the standard Table Settings panel offers.
Follow the steps below to open the Table Advanced Settings window.
- Select the table you want to modify.
- Open the Table Settings panel on the right side of the editor.
- Click Show Advanced Settings. The Table - Advanced Settings window opens.
- Refer to the desired section and follow the instructions:

Table
The Table tab allows users to configure overall table size and default table settings.

Cell
The Cell tab allows users to configure individual cell properties and content behavior.

| Use Default Margins | Applies the default table margins to the selected cells. |
| Cell Margins | Sets custom top, bottom, left, and right margins for the selected cells. |
| Wrap Text | Wraps content within the cell boundaries. |
Borders & Background
The Borders & Background tab allows users to customize table borders and background colors.

| Border Selection | Applies borders to specific areas of the table. |
| Table Background | Applies a background color to the selected table or cells. |
Table Position
The Table Position tab allows users to control a table's placement within the document.

| Horizontal Alignment | Aligns the table horizontally relative to the page, margin, or other reference point. |
| Horizontal Position | Specifies an exact horizontal position for the table. |
| Vertical Alignment | Aligns the table vertically relative to the page, margin, or other reference point. |
| Vertical Position | Specifies an exact vertical position for the table. |
| Move Object with Text | Moves the table together with the surrounding text. |
| Allow Overlap | Allows the table to overlap other document objects. |
Text Wrapping
The Text Wrapping tab allows users to control how surrounding text interacts with the table.

| Table Alignment | Aligns the table to the left, center, or right side of the page. |
| Indent from Left | Sets the distance between the table and the left margin. |

Alternative Text
The Alternative Text tab allows users to add accessibility information to a table.

- Configure table size and margins before entering large amounts of content.
- Use automatic resizing when table content changes frequently.
- Use text wrapping options when positioning tables alongside images or other content.
- Add alternative text to tables that contain important information to improve accessibility.
