Reports & Analytics (powered by Tableau) is a premium version of reporting. In conjunction with Audit Manager, it can help you better manage your auditing business. Tableau is a visual analytics and business intelligence tool, that helps businesses transform their data in a meaningful way. This can help your business in solving problems or empowering you to make smart decisions by better understanding your data.

Accessing Premium Reporting
Premium Reporting can be accessed in two ways. Directly within in Audit Manager under the Reports & Analytics tab, or through Tableau Server.

Select A Report Type
After clicking Reports & Analytics, you will have several Report Types to choose from. These may differ across organizations as they are customizable. The default report type view will always be the one furthest to the left, and will automatically display upon clicking Reports & Analytics.
Note: The order of Report Types cannot be changed at this time.
Using the Dashboard and Workbook tabs
Within each Report Type, you may have a selection of Dashboard and Workbook tabs to choose from. Each report type, will also have controls at the top that will be explained in further detail under the Dashboard/Workbook control options section below.

Dashboard Tabs: Dashboard tabs typically contain filter controls that allow you to select specific data criteria. Whatever filters are applied to dashboard controls, automatically apply to all other tabs within the workbook.
Note: Dashboard control options may vary across organizations and report types. The above screenshot is just one possible example. -
Printable Tabs: These tabs are the 'print ready' versions of the dashboards based on your control filters. If the report has multiple pages there will be two tabs with data. Be sure to look at ALL tabs to the see the relevant data in the report.
Note: Because the number of Chart Level Comments, Competency Scores, Key Findings and Recommendations can vary greatly between audits. If you have an usual amount of data that does not fit in the area allowed there are separate printable pages so that all data can be printed.
Dashboard/Workbook control options
Within each worksheet there is a toolbar across the top with various actions that can be performed. The function of each button is described below. iew option allows you to save a set of filters, name the filter, and easily see the different views.
- Undo: Click this button to undo the last action.
- Redo: Click this button to redo the last action.
- Revert: Click this button to clear all filters and view the original dashboard.
- Refresh Data: Click this button to refresh data that may have changed in the data source. (Likelihood of data being updated during use is minimal)

Pause Query: Click this button to pause automatic updates. By default, each time a control filter is changed, the data will also change.
Pro Tip: When adjusting multiple filters it may be helpful to pause updates until all filters have been chosen. (See Resume) - Resume Query: Click this button to turn automatic updates back on. The dashboard will then update based on the filters chosen.
- View: Original: Reverts to the Original View when clicked. When a particular dashboard is viewed regularly with the same filters, it is sometimes beneficial to create a custom view. See more below.
- Save Custom View: Allows you to open the dashboard, make changes (filters, sorting, zoom level, etc.) and click Save Custom View. Enter a name for the view or choose ‘make it my default’ and click Save. When the dashboard is opened in the future, click Original View and select the desired custom view.

Print: Click this button to print or download a dashboard/workbook tab.
- Available Print/Export Options: Image, PDF, Crosstab (Excel or CSV), or Powerpoint. See more below under Printing, Downloading, and Exporting Reports.
- Full Screen: Click this option to view the report in Full Screen mode.
- Share: Click this button on a dashboard to create a link that can be shared with a colleague (the colleague must have access to Tableau Server and the workbook).
Printing, Downloading, and Exporting Reports
There are several options for getting exporting reports. Click the Print icon and select one of the options below.
- Image: Creates a screenshot of the tab you are viewing. Dashboard controls are not included in the screenshot.
- Data: Prints the data behind the dashboard in a simple grid table. This option may not be available across all dashboards and workbooks

Crosstab: Exports data to Excel or CSV file, based on the chosen sheet selected in the popup box.

PDF: Will create a PDF file, based on the selections made in the popup box.

PowerPoint: Creates a presentation slide deck, based on the selected view in the popup box.
