The User Checklist module allows course creators to add a checklist of tasks that learners must complete as part of a course. This module helps track required actions and acknowledgments before course completion.
Add a User Checklist Module
Follow these steps to add a User Checklist to a course:
- Navigate to the course where you want to add the checklist.
- Select Add Modules.
- In the Add Modules window, select Create.
- Choose User Checklist.
- Enter the following details:
- Module Title: Enter a name for the checklist module.
- Description: Optionally enter instructions or context for learners.
- Active: Enable this option to make the checklist available in the course.
- Configure additional options as needed:
- Require all checkmarks to complete: Requires learners to complete all checklist items or a specified number of items before the module is marked complete.
- Use as evaluation by Admin: Allows administrators to evaluate checklist completion.
- Change affects up-to-date status: Places the course back on the learner’s To-Do list when changes are made.
- Send an email to the learner once the module is completed: Send an automatic email notification upon module completion.
- Select Save to add the User Checklist module to the course.
Add Checklist Items
After creating the User Checklist module, add checklist items that learners must complete.
Follow these steps to add checklist items:
- Select Add Item within the User Checklist module.
- Enter the following details:
- Item Title: Enter a name for the checklist item.
- Description: Optionally enter instructions or details for the item.
- Active: Enable this option to make the checklist item available to learners.
- Hide the Next Module button: Prevents learners from navigating to the next module until the checklist item is completed.
- Hide the description text when viewing the content: Hides the description text from the learner's view.
- Autocomplete by user: Allows learners to manually mark the checklist item as complete.
- Require all checkmarks to complete: Requires learners to complete all checklist items before the module is marked complete.
- Use as an evaluation by Admin: Designates the checklist item for administrative evaluation instead of learner self-completion.
- Change affects the up-to-date status: When enabled, changes to the checklist item will place the course back on the learner’s To-Do list.
- Send an email to the learner once the module is completed: Send an automatic email notification to the learner upon module completion.
- Select Save.
- Repeat these steps to add additional checklist items as needed.
