The reporting engine in the Training Center, is a great way to build custom CSV reports, based on the data you are looking for. Please note that depending on your role in the system, you may not have access to the reporting engine or certain aspects of the reporting engine.
This article will be broken down into the following sections. Click a section below to jump there.
Building the Report
- Within 'Training', click on 'Reports' and then 'Reporting Engine'.
- Define the Report Parameters
Next you will select the report type and the fields of data you want included within the report. Selecting the correct report type is important, as it will determine which data points can be pulled into the report. See example image below the report type breakdown.
Popular Report Types Include:-
User Report with Learning Path and Course Details
Select the following: User → Details → Results → Learning Path
This report gives you data at the Learning Path level (e.g. Learning Path Title, Learning Path Results, etc). This report can also include Course level data (e.g. Course Title, Course Due Date or Initial Compliance Due Date, Course User Results, etc.)
Note: The above report type also gives options to pull in People data such as First Name, Last Name, Username, Email, etc.

User Report with Course Details
Select the following: User → Details → Results → Course
This report gives you data at the Course level only (e.g. Course Title, Due Date or Initial Compliance Due Date, Course User Results, etc.). Learning Path data, cannot be included.
Note: The above report type also gives options to pull in People data such as First Name, Last Name, Username, Email, etc.

Course Summary Report
Select the following: Course → Summary → Course Report
This report gives you overall course statistics for assigned users. (e.g. Course Title, Due Date or Initial Compliance Due Date, and Course Metrics such as: # People Assigned, # People Completed, etc.)
Note: You will not be able to include individual course results, learning path data, or people data in this report type.

Learning Path Summary Report
Select the following: Learning Path → Summary → Learning Path Report
This report gives you overall learning path statistics for assigned users. (e.g. Learning Path Title, Due Date or Initial Compliance Due Date, and Learning Path Metrics such as: # People Assigned, # People Completed, etc.) You can also include some course level data such as Course Title, ID etc.
Note: You will not be able to include individual course results, or people data in this report type.

Team Summary Report
Select the following: Team → Summary → Team Reports
This report gives you overall team statistics for assigned courses or learning paths. (e.g. # People Not Started, # People Started, etc.)
Note: You will not be able to include specific course, learning path, or people data in this report type.

User Report with Learning Path and Course Details
- Once you have selected the report type (options above), you will be taken to the page to select the fields of data to include in the report. See more info below this image.
Example image of data categories on the left, available for Learning Path reports. The orange boxes on the right, indicate data fields included in the report by default.
Note: To add additional fields, expand the section on the left and then click on the field name. The field name will then appear with the other orange boxes to the right.
To remove data fields, click the 'x' next to the field name.
To rearrange data fields, click and hold on a field, and drag to a new position. - Click the 'Next' button to move forward when ready.
- Apply Filters: At this point, you can apply additional filters, to narrow the results in your report. Once you’ve applied appropriate filters, click the 'Next' button.
- Preview the report
On this page, you will see a preview of the report to ensure it has all the appropriate data. The preview will only include the first 10-15 or so rows of data. If you need to add additional fields, or apply different filters, simply click the 'Previous' button to go back to previous screens. - Once you are satisfied with the data in the preview, click the 'Next' button.
- Choose your report export option: Schedule Export or Download Now
At the top of this page, there are two report options, 'Schedule Export' or 'Download Now'. You can select the 'Download Now' option for a single export to download from the program, or you can complete the options under the 'Schedule Export' option to have a report link emailed to you.
Note: We recommend using the 'Schedule Export' option to save the report for future access.-
Schedule Export option
Available Report Scheduling Options:- Report Name - This will be the name that appears under your Saved Reports, and the file name that is downloaded to your computer.

Format - Format in which the file will be exported.
- CSV only

Frequency - The rate of occurrence which the report will be generated.
- Run once now
- Monthly
- Weekly
- Daily
- None
- Email to [Select Emails]- This will allow the report to be emailed to any other team members within your Training Center, based on the frequency selected.

Share Report - This will allow the report to be shared with other team members within your Training Center, with the necessary access. Shared reports will appear in the persons' Manage Reports (My Saved/ Favorite Reports) section of the Reports page. Below are the permission options for sharing reports:
- Read Only
- Edit
- Click the 'Build & Save' button when you are ready to finalize the report scheduling options.

Download Now option
Available report options:
- Report Name - This will be the file name that is downloaded to your computer.

Format - Format in which the file will be exported
- CSV only
- Click the 'Download' button to proceed to the next page.
- Click the download arrow, once the report has generated.

Schedule Export option
View Saved and Shared Reports
Once a report has been saved or shared with you, it will be available within the reports dashboard
Please note:
- To edit the report, click on the pencil icon
- To create a copy of the report, click on the paper sheets icon
- To delete the report, click on the trash can icon
