This article outlines the process for completing the Final Approval Task. The Final Approver for an incident can add interviews, root causes, corrective actions, status updates, and attach documents. The only required action to complete the Final Approval task is to provide Final Approval comments.
Follow the steps below to complete the Employee User - Incident Final Approval task:

You can access all tasks by clicking Show All or Go To My Tasks at the bottom of your task list in the workspace, or by selecting My Tasks from the profile menu.
- Click the hyperlink for the incident final approval task you want. This opens the incident details page for that incident.

On the Incident Details page, add any additional information if required. You can also update optional items in the various sections of the incident report.
Note: Review all sections of the incident before proceeding with the final approval process.

- Interviews: Record interviews with individuals related to the incident. You can provide written notes or attach recorded audio files. Refer to the article Adding Interviews to an Incident and follow the instructions.
- Supporting Documents: Add or review documents related to the incident. Refer to the article Supporting Documents and follow the instructions.
- Summary of Investigation: Review the investigation summaries provided by all assigned investigators. Refer to the article Incident Investigation Task and follow the instructions.
- Status Updates: Communicate with others in the organization informed about the ongoing incident. Refer to the article Incident Status Updates and follow the instructions.
- Root Causes: Add and customize potential causes that led to the incident. Refer to the article Adding Root Cause and follow the instructions.

Corrective Actions: Record the steps your organization is taking to prevent similar incidents in the future. Refer to the article Adding Corrective Actions and follow the instructions.

Scroll down to the Final Approval section, or select Final Approval from the left panel to navigate directly to it.
Note: Review all incident sections before proceeding with the final approval task. -
Click the Add icon to open the Final Approval side panel.
Note: Required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*). - Enter your comments in the Final Approver Comments box.
- To save your changes and complete the task later, click Save and Exit.
- To complete the Final Approval task, click Approve and Close Investigation.
Pro Tips:

- If any optional actions from Step 3 are needed, the Employee User must create them before completing the Final Approval task.
- Once the Final Approval task is completed, the Employee User will no longer have access to the related Incident Details page or the Final Approval task itself.
- After completion, the link in the incident final approval task email notification will redirect the user to their My Workspace page, displaying an error message stating they no longer have access.
- Completed Final Approval tasks will no longer be clickable in the user’s task list.
