This article explains how investigators complete their assigned investigation tasks. It outlines the key actions available to investigators, the requirements for task completion, and important considerations such as notification to the Final Approver, status changes, access permissions, and responsibilities when multiple investigators are involved.
While investigators can add interviews, root causes, corrective actions, status updates, and documents, the only requirement is to complete the investigation task. Key points to note:
- Completing the task notifies the Final Approver.
- If multiple investigations are assigned, all must be completed before the Final Approver is notified.
- Completing the task moves the incident from Investigation status to Resolution status.
- Employee-level users or managers without incident view permissions lose access once their task is completed, unless it is reopened by an admin or manager.
- When multiple investigators are assigned, each can view all investigation details but may only edit and complete their own task.
