The Healthicity Document Editor allows users to protect documents with a password to prevent unauthorized access. Once a password is applied, users must enter the correct password to open and view the document contents.
Protect a Document with a Password
Follow the steps below to add password protection to a document.
- Open the document in the Document Editor.
- Click the File tab from the top toolbar.
Select Protect.
- Click Add Password.
- Enter the required password in the password field.
- Re-enter the password to confirm it.
Click OK. The document will now be protected with the specified password.
ℹ️ NotesUsers must enter the correct password each time they open the protected document.
Change the Document Password
Follow the steps below to update the existing document password:
- Open the protected document.
- Enter the current password to access the document.
- Open the File tab.
- Select Protect.
Click Change Password.
- Enter the current password.
- Enter and confirm the new password.
- Click OK. The new password will be applied to the document.
ℹ️ Notes
Store the updated password securely to avoid losing access to the document.
Remove Password Protection
Follow the steps below to remove password protection from a document:
- Open the protected document.
- Enter the current password.
- Open the File tab.
- Select Protect.
- Remove the existing password from the password field.
Click OK. The document password protection will be removed.
