The Charts feature in the Queue enables you to create visual reports from available fields and save them as part of your saved views. Each chart reflects the applied filters, date ranges, and selected columns, ensuring the data aligns with what is displayed in the Queue. Charts update dynamically as filters change, providing a consistent and reliable way to visualize Queue data.
- The Charts functionality is currently available only in the Incident Queue and Audit Queue pages.
- For reference, the example images shown below are from the Incident Queue page.
Before you start:
- Use Edit Columns and Filters to configure the table to display the data you want to analyze.
- Save your changes as a view.
- The Saved View becomes the data source for any charts you create, and all charts will reflect the columns and filters defined in that view.
Follow these steps to start using Quick Charts:
-
Navigate to the Queue page in the Incident or Audit module.
- Click the Charts button. The Charts slide-out opens on the right side of the screen.
- If this is your first time opening Charts, an empty state is displayed. Click Add Chart to create a new chart or Add Default Charts to generate pre-configured charts based on your current view.
-
If a Saved View is selected, the panel displays any existing charts along with options to Change Theme, Add Chart, and adjust the Date Range.
- Click on the Add Chart to define new chart details. The chart preview updates in real time as you change settings. Refer to the Add New Chart section for more details.
- Use the More (⋮) menu on any chart to manage chart options; refer to the Manage Charts section to learn more.
- Click Custom Theme to customize chart colors by selecting predefined colors or entering your own hex values using the pencil icon. Refer to the Custom Theme section for more details.
- Click the Date Range option to select the time period used to generate the chart using preset ranges or a custom date selection from the calendar. For more information, refer to the Date Range section.
-
Users can select or deselect legend options to refine the chart display in real time. Hovering over a legend item highlights the corresponding data in the chart for better visibility and analysis.
-
This functionality is available across all chart types, including category-based charts such as By Category. In this example, some legend options, such as Compliance and HIPAA Security, are not selected, so their corresponding data is hidden from the chart. The Documentation option is selected, which is why its segment is highlighted in the chart, making it easier to focus on that specific category.
Add New Chart
Follow these steps to add a New Chart:
- Click the Add Chart from the Chart slide-out panel.
- In the Add New Chart section, enter a Title for the chart.
