Single Sign-On (SSO) allows users to access multiple applications using a single set of credentials, eliminating the need to log in repeatedly and creating a smoother, more efficient user experience.
Healthicity supports integration with a wide range of Single Sign-On (SSO) providers. Any provider that uses SAML is compatible, including ADFS, OneLogin, SAML, and Okta. SSO configuration options are accessible to Admins and IT Managers; however, at this time.
The benefits of SSO include:
-
Improved User Experience
- Users sign in once and access multiple applications without needing to log in again.
- Eases password fatigue and accelerates workflows.
-
Enhanced Security
- Promotes stronger passwords because users only need to manage one set of credentials.
- Centralizes authentication through a secure Identity Provider.
- Reducing login prompts lowers the risk of phishing attacks.
-
Simplified User Management
- Administrators can control access from a single centralized location.
- Simplifies user provisioning and de-provisioning.
- Ensures uniform access and security policies across all connected applications.
Note:
- Inform users before enabling SSO. Once it is activated, they can no longer sign in with their Healthicity password and will be redirected to their organization’s login page.
- SSO takes effect immediately and can only be disabled by contacting Healthicity Support, so the correct setup is essential.
- To enable and configure SSO, refer to the SAML SSO Settings article for step-by-step instructions.
