Specialty defines a provider's focus on specific patients, diseases, or skills. Taxonomy codes add detailed classification of provider types and specialties. Claims Connect requires taxonomy codes, while Audit Manager+ supports both.
Audit Manager+ uses CMS-based specialty codes, which are highly customizable to fit your needs. To view specialty or taxonomy lists, click the search funnel and select the desired option from the picklist.

Add Specialty or Taxonomy
Follow the steps below to add Specialty or Taxonomy details:

To add new specialty, navigate to the Actions menu and select Add Specialty.
- The Add Specialty window will be displayed.
- Enter the Specialty/Taxonomy Description in the desired field.
- Click Save to add the new specialty. The created specialty will be appear on the main screen.
- The user can click on the pencil Edit icon from the Actions field to edit the existing specialty details.
- The Show/Hide from the Actions menu allows the user to remove columns in the list portion of the grid.
Edit Specialty or Taxonomy
Follow the steps below to edit existing Specialty or Taxonomy details:

Use the search bar to find the desired Specialty or Taxonomy.
- Click on the pencil icon in the Action field to open the desired Specialty or Taxonomy details.
- Update the description as needed.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
