Documenting Competency Issues

The Competency Scoring page of Audit Manager allows you to easily record deficiencies for a particular provider or coder.  You access this page from two areas of the application: 1) in the Audit Box, 2) the Date of Service Work Queue.

Within the Audit Box, click on this icon in the upper right corner.  The page has a list frequent types of errors where you simply check the appropriate box.

There are two types of custom fields.  One for modifiers where you click on the + sign and enter the modifier with the deficiency.  There is second custom field titled Other.  Clicking on the + sign and enter the whatever deficiency needed.   There is no limit to the number of custom fields that can be added.

Reporting On Competency

The most comprehensive report for competency is the Competency Score Report within the custom report section.  This report includes all the standard and custom competency areas.  In addition to the competency areas the report includes scoring for E/M, CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10, Modifiers, and an overall competency rate.  Competency Scoring is also part of the fields that can be added to custom reports.
