Q&A
Q: How do charges enter this tool from a RCM system? Is there an interface?
A: We have a claims integration available to feed claims into Audit Manager. Users can also use a spreadsheet to manually upload data into the audits.
Q: If an auditor disagrees with a diagnosis code, is there a way to communicate the concern to the provider?
A: Yes, auditors can hand-key in finding/comments and we have pre-written comment library where auditors can select a comment. The comment library is also customizable.
Q: Is there a way to provide individual reports to each provider?
A: Yes, Audit Manager has reports for individual providers and/or coders.
Q: Are there any educational materials available to provide to a provider to explain differences between auditor and provider?
A: Yes, we have several different materials. First, in the post-audit provider report, the results of the audit are laid out, and the auditor can add custom comments to educate the provider. We also have a handful of training videos that can be shared with providers.
Q: Are there any educational materials that explain the supporting documentation needed to code an HCC or a plane ICD-10 code?
A: We do not have specific training materials on HCC. But the reports do allow auditors to include commentary or link to policies so that the reports can be educational for providers and not just pass/fail.
Q: Are any LCDs or NCDs incorporated or available to reference, if needed, to further explain an auditor change?
A: We do not have LCD/NCD edits or checks within Audit Manager. Users can set up their own custom audit template (checklist) for LCD/NCD, if that would help.
