This article explains how to add an auditee. Auditees are the individuals or organizations being reviewed in an audit. In Audit Manager+, they can be categorized as Coders, Providers, or Generic. A Coder assigns medical codes, a Provider is a healthcare professional being reviewed, and Generic is used for cases that do not fit into the other categories. Auditees are linked to specific audits and managed through the Auditees list.
Follow these steps to add a new Auditee:
- In Audit Manager+ Enterprise version:
- Navigate to the Admin
Manage Lists. An Auditees listing page will be displayed.
- Navigate to the Admin
- If you are using the Audit Manager+ Multi-Account version:
- Navigate to the Clients section and select the client where you want to add a new auditee.
- On the Client Details page, select the Client Lists.
- It will show the list of Auditees of selected client.
- Navigate to the Clients section and select the client where you want to add a new auditee.
- Now, navigate to the Actions menu, select Add Auditee, and choose the appropriate auditee type:
- Provider: Add new providers to the list, capturing essential details related to healthcare professionals or organizations involved in audits.
- Coder: Include new coders in the system to enable accurate tracking and assignment of coding tasks for audits.
- Generic: The generic option lets you create records for and audit departments, processes, or other entities beyond just providers and coders. Examples of generic auditees include the system configuration department for reporting errors or evaluating quality, or front office staff completing their responsibilities.
- The Add Auditee page will appear. Fill out the form, making sure to complete all required fields marked with a red asterisk (*).
- Once all the details are filled out, click Submit to create the auditee details.
Note: Auditees can be linked to multiple practices or organizations, but this is recommended only if separate audits will be created for each. When setting up an audit, be sure to select the correct practice (for providers) or organization (for coders); otherwise, the system won’t assign one, and practice- or organization-level reporting will be unavailable.
