  • Enhanced Security: Audit Manager now supports Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), providing an additional layer of protection for user accounts and ensuring secure access to sensitive audit data. 

November 2024

• The code logic for Counselling and Risk Reduction (99401-99409) has been updated as per the latest recommendations.
• An issue on the Manage Projects page, where inactive projects were displayed when the 'Active' toggle was selected, has been resolved.
• Tracking of file uploads has been improved.

October 2024

• Retain Search Filters in Pending Assignments Resource Tab

  • Search Filter Retention ensures that the search filters in the Resource tab remain active after a search, allowing users to keep their filter settings for future use.

• Adjusted Code Logic: Counseling and Risk Reduction (99401-99409)

  • Code Logic Adjustment: The logic for codes related to Counselling and Risk Reduction (99401-99409) has been adjusted to enhance accuracy.

• Clarify Labels on E/M Scoring:

  • Label Clarification: E/M scoring labels have been revised for clearer understanding, ensuring users can easily interpret the criteria for more accurate assessments and an improved user experience.

• Major Fix: 

  • Auditee List Filters: A fix has resolved issues with malfunctioning filters, allowing users to correctly apply filters for providers, improving data management and usability on the Auditee List.

• Chronic Care Management: Title and Logic Update

  • Title Change: The title for the Chronic Care Management section has been updated for better alignment with current standards and practices.

  • Logic Enhancement: Corrections have been made to the calculations of number of units for prolonged services.

• Advanced Care Planning: Time Calculation Fix

  • Corrected Time Calculation: An issue with incorrect time calculation in the Advanced Care Planning section has been resolved. Time is now accurately tracked and calculated.

• Checklist Enhancement:

  • Procedure Checklists: Due to the growing number of checklists, we have converted the lists from tabs into a picklist. The picklist list has been alphabetized for ease in finding the desired list. Within the picklist user can select the multiple checklists for an audit.

July 2024

Major Fixes 

• Improved Unit Display for Suggested Code Logic: The display of units for suggested code logic has been corrected, for Type of Services Inpatient Hospital & Observation Services (99223, 99233); and, Inpatient Hospital & Observation including Admit and Discharge (99236).
• 419 Error Resolved: The 419-error encountered when creating a new coder/auditee and selecting all specialties across all environments has been fixed.

We have been working hard to improve Audit Manager’s speed and responsiveness.  We have made technical enhancements to the “Records” functionality in of Audit Manager.

Management of Medical Records

• PDF Encryption and Decryption: We have enhanced Audit Manager’s capability to encrypt and decrypt PDF files, streamlining the management of medical records. All medical records linked to the Date of Service (DOS) will be displayed in the Audit Box. 

Upload Files

• Enhanced Upload Files Capability: Users can now assign uploaded files with ease and manage multiple file assignments simultaneously.
• New Deletion Functionality: The Action menu now includes options for deleting uploaded files, allowing users to select and remove multiple files at once.
• Advanced Append Feature: Users can attach selected files to Date of Service (DOS) entries, with support for selecting and appending multiple files at the same time.
• Improved File Upload and Encryption: The Upload Files functionality now supports both PDF and non-PDF formats. PDF files are split into pages, encrypted, and stored on the server, while non-PDF files are directly encrypted and stored. Users can upload up to 500 files at a time.

Record/Manage Page

• Enhanced List Section: The list section now includes:
• Clear status indicators for completed or failed results.
• Simplified row deletion functionality.
• A dedicated popup for adding comments, which are displayed on the History page.
• New Split Functionality: The Action menu now features a split function, allowing users to divide the selected page into multiple files.
• Upgraded Manage Files Page: The Manage Files page has been updated to version 7, providing improved functionality and a better user experience.
• Improved Manage Record Feature: Users can now append records to up to three Auditees. The QA verification process required for completing the append feature has also been enhanced.
• Flexible File Downloads: Users can now download uploaded files in single or multiple batches directly from the Manage Files page.

June 2024

General Enhancements

1. Within the Admin menu, the Specialty list now has filters that enable users to view only the specialties that are taxonomy or the standard specialties. To utilize this feature, click on the search funnel, then select either Taxonomy or Standard Specialty.
2. Also, within the Admin menu, the Add and Edit Auditees options have been enhanced to allow entry of Effective and Termination dates in the past. By setting the provider's status to inactive, they are no longer displayed on the picklists when setting up audits. The termination date will be further enhanced in the near future to automatically set the Auditee's status to inactive when the termination date arrives. We will notify you via release notes when this feature has been completed.

Claims Connect Enhancements

Over the past two weeks, we have implemented a series of Claims Connect enhancements that have been in development for the past few months. Below is a summary of those changes and tips for utilizing the new features.

1. We have divided the preview table into two sections. One section is for searching for and previewing claims. The second section displays previously selected claims.
2. The value of the "Selected" section is that it allows you to select claims and then perform additional "sub" searches without losing the selected claims.
3. To perform "sub" searches within the original data, enter the additional criteria by clicking on the magnifying glass just above the preview table. For example, search for a different patient or a procedure code. Enter the criteria for the sub-search using the magnifying glass just above the preview table.
4. To select rows to audit, click on the box at the beginning of the row. Audit Manager will move the rows to the Selected section and remove them from the Preview section.
5. You can perform as many "sub" searches as needed to find the claims you need to audit.
6. To add the selected rows to an audit, click on the Create Audit button. Audit Manager will create an audit with all the selected rows and clear the Preview and Selected sections.
7. To clear the data from the original and sub-searches, click on the Reset button.
8. To clear data from the Preview and Selected sections, click on the Reset button.

May 2024

1. Modified how over- and under-coded levels are calculated for Family Psychotherapy codes 90832-90838.
2. Changed family psychotherapy codes that do not include an E&M service to score as CPT errors.
3. Added a missing example regarding parenteral decision-making to the Risk section of the MDM grid.
4. Corrected an error in the auditor productivity report that was excluding some projects.

April 2024

1. The prolonged time calculations for CMS have been fixed. The Suggested Code will be calculated in accordance with the minutes specified in Chapter 12 of the Claims Processing Manual.

2. The statement "Multiple morbidities requiring intensive management:" has been relocated to the "Number and Complexity of Problems Addressed" section.

3. Search filters for Status and Sub-status are now available in Pending Assignments.

4. Copyright notices have been updated to incorporate AMA, CDT, and AHA requirements.
